Ikwekwezi FM is gearing up for the beginning of the 2022/23 financial year by introducing changes to its line-up. With these changes, the station aims to continue giving audiences what they need while ensuring that the station continues to be counted amongst the best in South Africa.
With effect from the April 2022, iKwekwezi FM’s Sivukile Breakfast Show will now be a full 3 hour show starting from 06h00 – 09h00 driven by the talented and entertaining Vusi ‘DJ R-Voonah’ Mtshweni together with Busi ‘Busaai’ Mathebula Monday to Friday while Bathabile Mabena renders the sport element on the show. Ngezibhula umbethe will now give listeners a morning dose of current affairs from 5am to 6pm. This means that listeners can start getting live updates, interaction and entertainment on Vuka Uzithathe from 04h00 with Thulisiwe ‘Nelza’ Buda starting their day.
Deliwe ‘Zuzu’ Skhosana will host the popular mid-morning timeslot Ngimi Nawe between 09h00 and 12h00 with the multi-skilled Bongani ‘Bobo DaBeat’ Mthomboti driving the station’s popular lunchtime show Siditjhile between 12h00 and 15h00 Monday to Friday.
The funny and energetic Collen ‘Biziwe’ Masango will host iKwekwezi FM’s fast-paced and ever-growing afternoon drive show AAADS (Amathunzi Anabile Afternoon Drive Show) between 15h00 and 18h00, with Joseph ‘Big Joe’ Tsima adding that all needed sports flavor listeners so enjoy and the well experienced presenter and producer Phushaza Sibiya joining the team.
Bongani ‘Gusheshe’ Mahlangu continues to host Hlala Nami between 19h00 and 21h00 and Mandla “Mindlo-Luv” Mthombeni will now be serenating audiences with beautiful sounds while engaging in discussions of importance on Sizigedlile between 21h00 and 00h00 Monday to Thursday,
Nompumelelo ‘DJ Mpumi’ Skhosana will now be welcoming the weekend with beautiful local music as the host of Azitjhe on Fridays between 21h00 and 00h00 while also grooving with the listeners on Jika Majika - Sigruva so! on Saturday 9h00 to midday.
Saturday and Sunday evenings will never be the same with Vusi ‘Mabizw’asabele’ Sithole on Ungasali between 18h00 and 21h00 playing only South African popular culture and gospel music respectively on both days while Nomthandazo ‘Thandymamakhe’ Mahlangu becomes the new host of the station’s popular Sunday morning slot NginoMelusi between 09h00 and 12h00. Local is definitely lekker with popular culture music and the latest in entertainment with Sizwe ‘Voroso’ Mnguni between 21h00 to 00h00 on Saturday and late night soothing music Sunday.
Six hours of soulful sounds on Sunday will start with Jabu ‘J.A.B.U’ Mahlangu bringing Ngezikhamba nomoya from 12h00 to 15h00 and Sello ‘Mbuzana’ Nyathi together with Bertha ‘Lady B’ Jiyane allowing listeners to reminisce during the sports show Ngezipholisa Ihliziyo on Sundays between 15h00 and 18h00.
The station’s popular cultural programme Sithini IsiNdebele will never be the same as it will now be driven by the entertaining and knowledgeable Branco Nkambule between 18h00 and 19h00.
