Ikwekwezi FM launches an online pop up radio station

IKwekwezi FM gave birth to a new online pop up radio station which will focus on the on topics and content relating to South Africa's icons

IKwekwezi FM gave birth to a new online pop up radio station. The station which went on air for the first time on 04 July, will focus on topics and content relating to South Africa's struggle icons.

Named Centenary Radio Station, the platform is accessible by clicking www.sabc.co.za/centenaryradio and will broadcast twice weekly, Wednesdays and Thursdays only between 15h00-18h00.

Ikwekwezi FM's Branco Nkambule and Sibusiso Skhosana will be main anchors utilising mix languages with a strong feel of both English and IsiNdebele. The two multi talented radio presenters will continuously invite guest presenters to the radio station to create an interesting twist and appeal to a vast majority of audiences.

True to living Nelson Mandela's legacy, the station will start off by paying homage to the month of July by focusing on the life of the former statesman. This will run from July until December 2018, thereafter content shift to other topical issues. Music lovers will be enticed with an interesting twist of political struggle songs and other locally produced traditional music.

Ikwekwezi FM Station Manager, Juliet Skhosana encouraged stakeholders at large to tune in and feedback to allow exellent service offering.
