Vusi ‘R-Voonah’ Mtsweni

Meet R-Voonah, a dedicated and friendly individual known for his commitment, patience, cooperativeness, and self-motivation who takes pleasure in assisting others whenever possible.

Early Life:

His journey began in the scenic Middelburg farm of Emhlanzeni in Mpumalanga, where he was born. He embarked on an educational path in 1994 at Sihlangene Primary School, and his secondary education culminated at Mkhulu Combined School in 2008.

Passion for the Arts:

In 2003, R-Voonah embarked on a creative journey by co-founding the Ndebele traditional group Amarhole Wesizwe Semvelo. Within the group, he contributed as a dancer, keyboardist, drummer, and one of the lead singers. This venture resulted in him winning awards for the 'Best Creative Dancer' and 'Best Creative Actor’.

Radio Calling:

Growing up, R-Voonah developed a profound love for radio. In 2006, while in grade 10, he initiated his career at Greater Middelburg FM, a community radio station, as a student presenter. By December of that year, he assumed a significant role in hosting the Morning Drive Show. In January 2007, he transitioned to the Afternoon Drive Show and was honored as the 'Best Presenter of the Year' by the listeners.

Career Advancement:

Following his matriculation in 2008, he earned a promotion as Production Manager. Beyond radio, R-Voonah is a versatile entertainer, working as a Disc Jockey, an MC, and managing his own entertainment company, Voonah Entertainment.

Aspirations:

 With a keen interest in sound engineering, he aspires to pursue further studies in this field.
