Deliwe Princess Faith Mnguni popularly known as Zuzu, was born in Secunda, eMbalenhle (White City), in 1986, January the 12th. She grew up in Witbank and later moved to Pretoria, Mamelodi. She was raised as a Christian by her Great grandmother and her single mother. As a young girl she was very talkative and much of an entertainer that’s where her passion for radio began. At school she used to do drama, debate and music but could not do sports up to date. Zuzu has attended five (5) different schools, namely Khayalethu Primary, Jafta Mahlangu High, Dansa International College, Langa High and Princefield Trust Private School and that’s where she completed her matric in 2004. She attended a short radio course in 2005 at Rippel FM, volunteered at Soshanguve Community Radio in 2006 and later joined Ikwekwezi FM as a presenter.
Over the years Zuzu has been involved in a number of Dramas played daily on Ikwekwezi FM and is currently playing a kid’s role in Takalani Sesame. From 2006 she has hosted different slots; she started off with a graveyard shift from 03h00 to 06h00 on Saturdays and Sundays morning. Currently she hosts four(4) different programmes, on Fridays 09h00 to 12h00 midmorning A Woman’s Magazine Show, Saturday 12h00 to 15h00 Midday International Top 20, Sunday 06h00 to 09h00 in the morning she hosts a
Gospel Show and on Monday and Tuesday 00h00 to 03h00 in the early morning she presents Talk Shows. On Sundays, Zuzu is a Sunday school teacher and she makes children believe that she is as young as they are, on Saturdays she’s hyper, on Fridays she’s just a lady and on Mondays and Tuesdays she’s a grown up…totally different personalities.
Apart from presenting, Zuzu is an actress and has been involved in a number of projects. She is a voluntary counselor; she identifies the needy people and tries to provide for their needs wherever she can. Zuzu is also the owner of @Zuzu Hair Salon and she’s struggling to finish her first edition of The Children’s short stories book. Currently she is studying towards a diploma in Business Management. There’s just one talent she’s not sure of…singing but she can sing!
