Born on April 29 in Chris Hani and raised in KwaMhlanga’s Sun City AA, Thulani’s academic journey began at Khayelitjha Primary School and continued at Ziphakamiseni Secondary School, where he graduated as the top learner in 2019. After earning a Bachelor of Education in Languages from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2023, he is currently pursuing a BA Honours in Journalism and Media Studies to fuel his passion for the media industry.

Professional Journey

Thulani’s broadcasting journey began in 2020 as a Producer and Presenter at Gain Online Radio. The following year, he joined Flare FM, where he hosted a cultural show and the Top 10 isiNdebele Music segment, while also contributing through jingle production and visual content. In 2023, Thulani launched his YouTube channel, African Identity: Ubuntu Bethu, and soon after, he was honored with an opportunity to join Ikwekwezi FM on August 25, 2023. His impactful documentary work at Ikwekwezi FM quickly attracted the attention of SABC News, leading to his debut as an isiNdebele news presenter on SABC1 in 2024.
