SABC TAKES A STAND AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE WITH NATIONWIDE RADIO CAMPAIGN
Breaking the Silence to End GBV – Tune In, Speak Out, and Take Action
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is destroying lives and tearing communities apart. It happens in homes, schools, workplaces—and far too often, in silence. But it doesn’t have to continue.
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is launching a powerful, multi-platform campaign across all 19 SABC radio stations to confront GBV head-on. Starting Tuesday, 22 July, listeners will engage in hard-hitting discussions, survivor stories, expert advice, educational dramas, and interviews with lawmakers and activists—all dedicated to ending the cycle of abuse.
Key Highlights of the Campaign:
- Real Stories, Real Impact: Hear from survivors, advocates, and experts as they share experiences and solutions.
- Action-Oriented Content: From legal advice to psychological support, learn how to report abuse, seek help, and support victims.
- Nationwide Participation: A united call to action—if you see it, speak out; if you’re hurting, reach out.
