🎧 How can I get an opportunity to DJ live on Ikwekwezi FM?

To have your mix played live on air, send an email to MtsweniVJ@sabc.co.za. You’ll be asked to submit a quality-assured mix tape for review before it can be broadcast.

🗣️ How do I arrange a live radio interview to promote my business?

You must have an active SABC account to engage in any promotional activities on SABC platforms (Radio, TV, Website, or Social Media).

🎶 How do I submit an EP or single to be played on air?

Music submissions must meet certain technical and content requirements to qualify for airplay.

🎵 What if a listener requests a song not in the music library?

Our Music Librarian checks across all SABC Radio Station libraries to locate the requested track and arranges for it to be added to Ikwekwezi FM’s library where possible.

📀 What happens after I submit my song, CD, or album?

Submissions go through a thorough review process.

• The Music Committee listens and evaluates the material for genre fit and airplay suitability.
• Only selected songs are approved for playlisting.

✅ What criteria does the Music Committee use for selection?

• High-quality production is essential.
• Songs should preferably be produced by a recognized production company.
• Content, genre relevance, and broadcast readiness are all considered.

🌐 What should I do if I’m having trouble with live streaming?

If you’re experiencing streaming issues:

1. Clearly describe the problem.
2. Take a screenshot of the error:
   • Press Alt + Print Screen
   • Paste the screenshot into Word or any graphic tool
3. Save the document.
4. Email it with your contact details to streaminghelp@sabc.co.za
   A support agent will get in touch to assist you further.
